John Gordon (ジョン ゴードン) is an American spy, who infiltrated to Japan.

Appearance 

A middle-aged man wearing a kimono. Although in some photos he can be also seen in a casual suit. John has light blue eyes and short blonde hair.

Plot 

He came to Japan three years before the beginning of the series at a major trading company´s invitation. In reality, he's an American spy. In Japan, he calibrates imported precision machinery. A man in an unrelated case had named in during his interrogation, and Gordon began to be suspected by the Japanese as a spy.

Sakuma and the D-Agency (in the guises of a Military Police Squad), searched Gordon's house and found evidence behind the imperial portrait.

Trivia 

• He is shown to be a Japanophile during his undercover stay in Japan, where he is shown eating with chopsticks, praying before the emperor´s portrait and wearing kimono in all the undercover photos taken off him during Episode 01. His dialogue, where he expressed his excitement over Sakuma's 'hara-kiri' show as a uniquely Japanese tradition he has yet to witness during his stay also supports this.
